Week 15 Jim Moll

Each week in Master Key Experience (MKE) I have assignments, along with a host of other activities which are building upon the foundation which is already in place. Progressions, permutations, persistence. patience…you get the idea! Good habits take effort, bad habits grow automatically, like weeds in nature. It has been said that 95% of what we do is based on habits, and generally speaking, we need habits to function in our daily activities. Just think how our day would be, if we had to lean anew each time we wanted to do something, like driving a car, cooking a meal, etc. Our thinking is also habitual, and gets “set in cement” over time. Therefore, I work on good habits and think good thoughts!

The role of the subconscious is illustrated by the following poem.

In “Seeds of Greatness”, Denis Waitley wrote “My Robot” :

I have a little robot, that goes around with me,

I tell him what I’m thinking, I tell him what I see.

I tell my little robot, all my hopes and fears,

He listens and remembers, all my joys and tears.

At first my little robot, followed my command,

but after years of training, He’s gotten out of hand.

He doesn’t care what’s right or wrong, or what is false or true,

No matter what I try now, he tells ME what to do!

One of our assignments over the next 13 weeks is to follow Wise Ole Ben Franklin’s efforts to improve himself, focusing as he did, on 13 Virtues, one for each week. Mark J added a twist: we only focus of the positive aspect of each virtue. Hence, this week I observe “Courage”, wherever I can see it. This can be observed in people, animals, even in fiction, or in the news. The biggest “secret” was that these virtues already exist within us! Observation helps us to manifest these virtues in our own lives. Oh, what fun it will be in the following weeks!!

Because of my interest in words, and the power of words, I am including a quote by Haanel that I want to share: “Accuracy in building words and sentences is the highest form of architecture in civilization and is the passport to success.” Many authors have pointed to vocabulary and use of language as the best indicator of a person’s success in the work world. Who is our most important audience? Who needs to be a ‘Watchman” to the gate into our subconscious? Words are thoughts; thoughts have power. It has been written: “The pen is mightier than the sword.”  The Bible says that the Word of God is a two edged sword.” Bonar writes: “Speak truly, and each word of thine shall be a fruitful seed.”

Open your heart, open your mouth, let your light shine forth!

    1. The past two days, when I go to post or comment on other’s Word Press accounts, I get a message that I don’t have an account? I was able to post week 15, but not get to my home site. Any ideas on how to find out what’s up?

  1. Happy New Year 2018!!!
I spent some time reading your blog and checking in on occasions with a comment or two. You have made it this far, Congratutions!! I came to read Week 14 and Week 15 during the Holiday Season, and into the New Year… you are becoming the self directive person you set yourself to become. I am glad you answered the call within. Keep on moving forward in changing your old blueprint…to gain what I think is going to be a life changing experience.
I am looking forward to seeing you manifest your intentions.

PS.. Do you have a hosted blog? You might want to add your question on the Digital Connections community, because this is a common situation with “free” and “hosted” blogs. I just use my free wordpress login, because I keep getting the same error message. But it would help your host blog following if you use that.

  2. Great blog posting! Love your “insights”, and I really appreciate your observation from Haanel- the construction of language is the greatest form of architecture! It’s great to see your persistence with the exercises, as at times I would guess that almost everyone has had a challenge or two keeping up. I know that I have. Let’s keep on keeping on! Thank you for the inspiration!
